Our story

Tampereen Erikoissarana Ltd has been known as one of Finland’s leading hinge manufacturers. The original company was founded in 1952 and became a limited liability company in 1972. One of our speciality products is a traditional-styled fire door hinge named Oiva after the founder. The company has been manufacturing fire door and spring hinges since it was founded, for more than 50 years. In addition to hinges, an important area for us has been NC machinery, which allows for more flexibility in the manufacturing of small and large components as well as demanding products. A few years ago, the ownership of the company was transferred to AJ Marttila Laatupaja Ltd, which strengthened the capital structure. The managing director is Ari Marttila (since 2013). In 2014, Tampereen Erikoissarana Ltd was granted the right to use the Key Flag symbol, which is the mark that the products are manufactured in Finland. In 2015 - 2018, the company received development funding from the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY-keskus).
